Firstly:-
It needed to be taller for our cockerels; both on the ground floor and in the upper compartment, so I designed and developed our unique wide-roof top ark. This in turn allows better use of the floor space in the upper compartment compared to other standard triangular shaped arks available on the market today.

Secondly:-
My children found the first ark hard to clean out, so I raised the floor in the upper compartment level with the sides so there were no awkward to-get-at places. I also made the nest boxes and perches all removable. Combined with the fact that we have removable doors on either end as well as 2 other fully removable doors on one of the sides; makes the cleaning out process less of a chore

Thirdly:-
It needed to be posh enough to show off the children’s chickens on the lawn so by design and using only quality materials I have achieved this

Finally:-
The health and the welfare of the chickens had to be addressed
• With this design, the chickens natural instinct to go up to roost is satisfied
• The upper compartment is more spacious and well ventilated from all sides as a result of our unique roof design
